Sheridan Shore Sailing School will be continuing the MISSA Pipeline this fall due to the positive response last year. The program introduces 7th and 8th graders to High School Sailing. MISSA (Midwest InterScholastic Sailing Association) is the Midwest governing body for High School sailing in the United States. For information, check out their website at www.missa.net.
The MISSA Pipeline will be held 10:00am to 3:30pm every Saturday starting September 17th through October 29th with a 30 minutes lunch break. The program will have twelve available slots. The Pipeline coach will be one of the assistant coaches of the nationally ranked Loyola Academy, North Shore Country Day, and Evanston Township High School sailing teams. The course will focus on advanced boat handling techniques, sail trim, and covering beginner racing rules and tactics.
This will be a great opportunity for Chad to get interested in joining a High School Sailing Team. Our program gives them a chance to improve their skills and get informed on what High School racing involves.

Sheridan Shore Sailing School
For more than 50 years, Sheridan Shore Sailing School has been proud to offer students a chance to experience the thrill, challenge and exhilaration of sailing. Our courses help instill the skills of sailing and seamanship to juniors, high school students and adults of all ability levels. Classes are led by certified U.S. Sailing Association instructors and feature a low student to instructor ratio. We offer a variety of courses designed to match differing interests, abilities and ages. The Sailing School uses the facilities of Sheridan Shore Yacht Club which is located in Wilmette Harbor. The Sailing School is a 501 c (3) not-for-profit organization and is open to the community.
